In the United States and abroad, patients who are suspected of having cancer are provided with a staging PET/CT scan, which is used as a baseline to detect extent of disease and monitor response to cancer treatment. Unfortunately, this baseline study is not routinely performed in BC, and assessing treatment response can be delayed or unknown.
Under the direction of our Medical Director, Dr. Attariwala's , we have implemented a new contrast CT imaging protocol for enhanced imaging and improved diagnostics.
Dr Attariwala, MD, PhD, is a radiologist, nuclear medicine physician, and biomechanical engineer.
He is the Director of Nuclear Medicine Services for BC's Northern Health, and a director at Aim Medical Imaging.
